Title of Event: The Queen of Nöri

What: The Queen of Nöri is a feature-length original story ballet that follows a Queen who turns to dark magic to save her kingdom from war with neighboring powers. Taking after blockbuster fantasy like 'Game of Thrones' and 'Avatar: The Last Airbender,' The Queen of Nöri uses contemporary ballet to explore magic, parenthood, and leadership under pressure. The Queen of Nöri is created by Boston-based StoneWorks Productions in collaboration with Kailua Dance Academy under the direction of Carolyn Feher. The cast features local Hawaii dance students, local professional dancers, and guest stars Ashley Carter and Vanessa Martines de Banos of DoubleTake Dance in NYC.
